China - Brazil Silk Industry Cooperation and Excha

　　Recently, China-Brazil sericulture silk industry cooperation and exchange activities organized by International Silk Union(ISU)were carried out smoothly, and both sides reached a consensus on related issues.

　　On March 20, a meeting was held in the meeting room in Institute of Sericulture, Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Attending representatives from China and Brazil are as follows: Mr. Jing Huanlin, Assistant President of Cathaya Group;

　　Mr. Joao Berdu, Chairman of Bisa Overseas---Brazilian Member Unit of ISU, head of Silk Valley Project;

　　Mr. Wang Yongqiang, Deputy Director of Institute of Sericulture, Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences;

　　Mr. Zhu Jianxun, Office Director of Institute of Sericulture, Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences;

　　Ms. Bian Xiner, Deputy Secretary General of ISU, Minister of Cathaya Group Enterprise Management Department;

　　Ms. Liu Shuangshuang, Secretary of ISU. 　       

　　They exchanged ideas extensively in the aspects of Brazilian silkworm resources protection, sericulture industry research and cooperation etc., and achieved initial intention of cooperation.

    On March 21, representatives from China and Brazil participated the joint activities in the meeting room in Cathaya Group, participants are as follows:

　　Ms. BianXiner, Deputy Secretary-General of ISU, Minister of Cathaya Group Enterprise Management Department;

　　Mr. Li expresses gratitude to Mr. Joao Berdu for his continuous support to the work of ISU and invites him to attend ISU Member Assembly during the Silk Expo in October, 2017, and also hopes to strengthen further cooperation with domestic sericulture research institutions. In addition, Mr. Zhang Guozheng introduces the general situation of Sericulture Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and expresses great willingness of cooperating with Brazil in silkworm resources protection and with Cathaya Group in sericulture industry development and some other aspects. Mr. Luo Jianli introduces the plans and arrangements of Brazilian exhibition of Silk Expo 2017, and hopes to get supports and establish a long-term relationship with Brazil.

　　ISU is a communication platform built for the international silk industry. This China-Brazil sericulture silk industry cooperation and exchange activities achieve the desired results. ISU hopes exchanges and cooperation among the members will be closer and more achievements will be reached in the future.
