Among them, the import amount was $359M, increased 3.35% and 0.06% compared with previous month and year respectively; The export amount was $48.4753M, declined 8.54% and 0.37% compared with previous month and year respectively. Import: The amount of silk yarn was $625.6K, decreased 22.42% compared with previous month, and increased 18.95% compared with previous year. The volume of silk yarn was 8.01 tons, decreased 58.8% and 21.19% compared with previous month and year respectively. The amount of silk fabrics was $27.5457M, increased 4.47% compared with previous month, and decreased 5.19% compared with previous year. The amount of silk manufactured products was $330M, increased 3.32% and 0.49% compared with previous month and year respectively.
Export: The amount of silk yarn was $108K, decreased 35.03% compared with previous month, and increased 21.51% compared with previous year. The volume of silk yarn was 2.25 tons, fell 79.76% and 98.37% compared with previous month and year respectively. The amount of silk fabrics was $19.871M, decreased 7.41% and 9.37% compared with previous month and year respectively. Among the imported silk products, the amount of silk yarn was $4.6173M, rose 25.46% compared with previous year. The volume of silk yarn was 84.88 tons, rose 28.94% compared with previous year. The amount of silk fabrics was $175M, declined 1.04% compared with previous year. The amount of silk manufactured products was $2.493B, increased 0.17% compared with previous year.
The major import sources were China ($1.007B, up 2.27% year-on-year, accounting for 37.65%), Italy ($172M, up 11.2% year-on-year, accounting for 6.45%), Mexico ($149M, down 7.83% year-on-year, accounting for 5.57%), Vietnam ($147M, down 14.94% year-on-year, accounting for 5.49%), and India ($135M, down 6.59% year-on-year, accounting for 5.06%). All these five major sources totally accounted for 60.22%.
Among the exported silk products, the amount of silk yarn was $686.3K, decreased 31.65% compared with previous year. The volume of silk yarn was 42.55 tons, a marked decrease of 96.63% compared with previous year. The amount of silk fabrics was $161M, decreased 2.73% compared with previous year. The amount of silk manufactured products was $214M, increased 0.25% compared with previous year.
The major export markets were Canada ($77.2535M, down 7.46% year-on-year, accounting for 20.54%), Mexico ($73.3238M, up 1.13% year-on-year, accounting for 19.5%), Honduras ($38.7159M, up 1.94% year-on-year, accounting for 10.29%), Salvador ($18.1546M, up 26.07% year-on-year, accounting for 4.83%), and the UK ($16.7846M, up 10.34% year-on-year, accounting for 4.46%). All these five export markets totally accounted for 59.62%.
