In order to investigate China's high-quality sericulture silk production base, strengthen In order to investigate Chinese high-quality sericulture and silk production base, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the silk industry of China and Italy, and promote the visit and interaction between International Silk Union(ISU) members, from September 18 to 22, 2023, the Ufficio Italiano Seta(UIS), ISU vice-chairman unit, organized a delegation of 8 representatives of Italian silk enterprises and institutions to inspect Chinese sericulture and silk industry, Zhang Guoqiang, chairman of ISU, Li Qizheng, secretary-general of ISU，accompanied the delegation in stages visits. Bian Xing’er, deputy secretary-general of ISU, and Pepper, secretary of ISU, accompanied the whole visits.

From September 19 to 22 in Sichuan and Chongqing, the UIS delegation successively inspected the Ningnan Nansilu Group with organic mulberry base, organic silk reeling base and sericulture comprehensive utilization development, the Sichuan Antai Cocoon Silk Group with sericulture base and silk reeling and weaving park, the National silk industrial cultural heritage of Nanchong Liuhe Silk Expo Park, the silk quilt production base of Nanchong Yinhai Silk Co., Ltd., Nanchong Shanghao Mulberry Tea Co., Ltd. with the mulberry resources comprehensive development production line, Sichuan Sachem Textile Co., Ltd. with weaving park and its Shu Embroidery Culture Museum, Chongqing Sunfeel Intlligent Technology Co.,Ltd with intelligent sericulture base. The delegation learned in detail the basic situation and development mode of high-quality sericulture silk production in Sichuan and Chongqing. Among them, during the investigation in Nanchong City, Wu Chengguo, deputy director of Nanchong Commercial Bureau, He Wenming, Level II investigator of Nanchong Commercial Bureau, and Li Wei, president of Nanchong Cocoon Silk Association, and others accompanied the delegation.
Lin Ping, chairman of Ningnan Nansilu Group, Liu Wanming, deputy general manager of Yinhong Silk under the Nansilu Group, Long Zongxiao, deputy general manager of the Ningnan Nansilu Group, and Qi Hua, chairman of Jinsang Manor Agricultural Development under the Nansilu Group, received the delegation.
Founded in 1981, Ningnan Nansilu Group Co., Ltd. is a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization that integrates sericulture and silk, scientific and technological innovation research and development, resource recycling, international trade, agricultural product supply chain, and it is also a the first cocoon and silk enterprise to obtain global organic textile certification and export earns the first place in foreign exchange in China, with a total of more than 1,400 employees. The Group has been implementing the industrialization operation mode of company+ base + farmer + factory. As of 2022, it has 300000 mu of mulberry gardens, 325500 silkworms per year, 297900 quintals of cocoons, more than 5000 tons of dry cocoons, more than 2000 tons of raw silk, and 35 sets of automatic silk reeling machines, driving 13 towns, 25000 households, and 102000 agricultural populations in the county to engage in the cocoon and silk industry, achieving a cocoon sales revenue of RMB 740 million for farmers, the average household income from sericulture is more than RMB 29600. Three indicators of per unit cocoon yield, per capita cocoon yield, and cocoon quality have ranked first in the country.

The company has assets of RMB 500 million, 600 employees, annual sales revenue of RMB 450 million, annual export income of RMB 80 million, it has five subsidiaries companies. The company has established a high-quality mulberry silkworm demonstration base of 11000 mu, which radiates and drives 70000 mu, with an annual production of 1000 tons of high-quality cocoon. There are 24 sets of automatic reeling machines with 9600 spindles, producing 500 tons of premium silk annually. Additionally, there are 24 high-speed rapier looms, producing 2 million meters of specialty silk fabric annually. The company holds 30 patents, including 2 invention patents and 25 utility model patents, and has received numerous awards for scientific and technological progress at the provincial, municipal, and county levels.

It is a silk culture tourism destination that integrates industry, culture, tourism, study tours, and ecology. Currently, the Nanchong Liuhe Group factory area still maintains a complete industrial chain and is known as the "living fossil of Chinese silk industry."

Nanchong Yinhai Silk Co., Ltd., as a professional and comprehensive silk enterprise integrating silkworm and mulberry cultivation, silk quilt making, spun silk processing, and silk trading. The company currently has 128 employees and over 60 sets of advanced spun silk equipment, with an annual processing capacity of 300000 silk quilts. It is the largest silk quilt manufacturer in Sichuan province, it has been ISO 9001 certified and owns 10 patents.

Sichuan Shanghao Tea Industry Co., Ltd. was established in 2007, it is mainly engaged in integrating agricultural planting, R&D, production and sales of mulberry tea and food as well as tea products. The company has built a tea and mulberry modern agricultural park, a new mulberry biotechnology park, online and offline marketing system. It is a key leading enterprise for agricultural industrialization, high-tech enterprise and one of the first targeted poverty alleviation demonstration enterprises in Sichuan province.

It is a privately-owned enterprise that integrates the entire production chain of silkworm breeding, silk fabric weaving, silk product and clothing manufacturing, as well as Shu painting craft production and sales. The company has more than 400 employees, produces over 6 million meters of various silks and over 2 million pieces/sets of apparel, bedding and Shu painting craft annually, with export volume reaching USD 30 million. It has also built a 5,000-mu modern comprehensive sericulture park along the west basin in Jialing District. In 2022, the company’s output value reached RMB 450 million, with tax payment of RMB 13 million and silk foreign trade export of USD 15 million.

Founded in 1996, Sunfeel Intlligent Technology Co., Ltd. is a company with the strategic direction of intelligent sericulture industry, integrating science, industry, agriculture and trade. It is a whole industry chain company that committed to intelligent sericulture system construction, intelligent equipment R&D and manufacturing, intelligent sericulture base construction and operation, cocoon silk processing and sales, import and export trade, and overseas investment. Through the closed operation of its own base, Sunfeel repeatedly tested the self-developed intelligent sericulture equipment, and the batch size was 3 times or more higher than that of the traditional breeding mode, the labor efficiency of a single batch was 20 times higher than that of the traditional breeding mode, and the comprehensive efficiency was increased by 60 times or more. By the end of 2022, more than 30 self-built and self-operated intelligent sericulture bases have been built across the country, and 62 intelligent sericulture production lines have been launched.
