According to the statistics of Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Trade, the trade amount of silk products in January was $ 19.5339 million with an increase of 3.64% compared with last month and an increase of 10.33% compared with last year. Among them, the import amount was $ 15.6054 million with an increase of 22.67% compared with last month and an increase of 6.79% compared with last year; The export amount was $ 3.9285 million with a decrease of 35.87% compared with last month and an increase of 27.07% compared with last year. Specific product composition as follows:

Import: The amount of silk was $ 251.1 thousand with an increase of 49.38% compared with last month and a decrease of 10.92% compared with last year. The volume of silk was 3 tons, rose 317.11% from previous month and fell 27.82% from previous year. The amount of silk fabrics was $ 6.0026 million with an increase of 19.04% compared with last month and an increase of 2.78% compared with last year. The amount of silk manufactured products was $ 9.3517 million, up by 24.51% and 10.14% compared with last month and last year respectively.

Export: The amount of silk was $ 2.383 million, down by 28.36% month-on-month and up by 33.26% year-on-year. Silk volume was 49.12 tons, down by 18.89% month-on-month and up by 69.8% year-on-year. The amount of silk fabrics was $ 21.1793 million, down by 12.77% month-on-month and 14.67 year-on-year. The amount of silk manufactured products was $ 388.7 thousand, down by 45.79% month-on-month and 2.38% year-on-year.

The major import sources were China (import amount was $ 9.6336 million, rose 2.47% from previous year, accounting for 61.37%), Thailand (import amount was $ 742.5 thousand, rose 38.28% from previous year, accounting for 4.76%), Vietnam (import amount was $ 587.8 thousand, fell 27.09% from previous year, accounting for 3.77%), Hong Kong (import amount was $ 554.6 thousand, rose 63.67% from previous year, accounting for 3.55%), and Portugal (import amount was $ 496.9 thousand, rose 35.21% from previous year, accounting for 3.18%). All these 5 sources totally accounted for 76.99%.

Among the export silk products, amount of silk was $ 2.383 million with an increase of 33.26% compared with last year, the volume was 49.12 tons with an increase of 69.8% compared with last year. Amount of silk fabrics was $ 1.1568 million with an increase of 27.8% compared with last year. Amount of silk manufactured products was $ 388.7 thousand with a decrease of 2.38% compared with last year.

The major export markets were Vietnam (export amount was $ 782.7 thousand, rose 37.2% from previous year, accounting for 19.92%), France (export amount was & 608.9 thousand, rose 20.86% from previous year, accounting for 15.5%), Italy (export amount was $ 562.6 thousand, rose 94.63% from previous year, accounting for 14.32%), Paraguay (export amount was $ 552.9 thousand, rose 201.25% from previous year, accounting for 14.07%), and Argentina (export amount was $ 422.8 thousand, fell 18.12% from previous year, accounting for 10.76%). All these 5 export market totally accounted for 74.57%.
