Silk Industry and Carbon Footprint Mitigation Prog

  Recently, we received an E-mail from Mr.Joao Berdu, chairman of Bisa overseas, the executive director unit of International Silk union(ISU).

It was informed that after furthers researches made by colleagues on Brazilian Universities, a paper Silk industry and carbon footprint mitigation, has been presented by Ms. Alessandra Giacomin (MSc) at AUTEX WORLD TEXTILE CONFERENCE 2017, held in Greece from May 29 to 31st, as the photos show below.

     

  
  Algorithms supported by this paper presented at AUTEX are being used at ongoing development of a cellphone application that aims to put silk on hands and hearts of Millennial Generation, the biggest and most powerful generation ever.

  Millennials worldwide are powered by cell phones and they are keen to consume sustainable items. SILKO2 helps user to measure the carbon footprint of clothes on their closet and guides users to mitigate it, adding to their closet items made of silk.

Silk has the sustainability Millennials all over the world are looking for. We must give them the opportunity to know it.
