World Silk Hangzhou Consensus

Time flies by, and the changes of the world has occurred for thousands of years. Silk with a long history accompanies human all over the world. Despite the silk industry has moved from one country to another, the development of silk is endless. Despite the differences of history, culture, national characteristics, technological technology and fashion trends, silk products all over the world Each has its own style, are like exotic flowers and rare herbs. Silk carries the cultures of each country. Silk is an important part of the economic development of all countries. Silk became a witness for exchanges and cooperation among countries. Silk has universal language and common value in the world.

The International Silk Union has been in existence for two years. Under the strongly support of member units, the union adheres to the purpose of“Communication, Cooperation and Development with Concerted Efforts”, and visit, investigate, discuss, participate in activities visits among its member units. The union has become increasingly influential, and the quantity of nations and member units of the union have gradually increased, and also have received the more attention from relevant governments. Today, we get together to discuss, to accomplish a great achievement with concerted efforts.

The work report of the past two years, and the future outlook which were delivered in International Silk Union Members Assembly, have won the recognition and praise of the participants. Ideas and plans for the work of the committee from five directors of professional committees, described the deeper and more innovate extension of union. The exchange statements of member units reflect their enthusiasm and concern for the union. Belt and Road Forum for International Silk will be held in the afternoon. Then ISU will Sign the strategic cooperation agreements with Cambodia Silk Sector Promotion and Development Committee. Forum's heavyweight speakers and inspiring lecture themes make us look forward to it. Tomorrow morning, organized by ISU of the "Topic discussion on the sustainable development of silk industry", will also discuss the focus of the industry's attention. The whole activity is compact and complete, deep and effective. It shows that the activities of the union are becoming the focus of international silk industry.

The union hopes that by organizing more activities, ISU can truly become the world silk industry stage has good connectivity and achieve cooperation and win-win situation. To this end, We form the following consensus in Hangzhou:

1. Silk is the common wealth of mankind and contains human civilization and multinational culture. Through the communication and integration of the ancient silk road, silk has left a rich and bright chapter in the development of human society.

2. “The Belt and Road Initiative” advocated by China comes from the land silk road and the maritime silk road. The essence is to build a new economic and trade road to connect world, a road of cooperation, a road to win-win and a road of peace. This is an opportunity for world silk to develop together.

3. Members of ISU should to strengthen mutual exchanges, promote economic and trade cooperation, impel investment, move the world silk industry healthy, harmonious and sustainable development. Making silk continue to benefit the people’s livelihood, the benefit of society.

4. The five professional committees of ISU that is History Culture Professional Committee, the Fashion Design Professional Committee, the Education Research Professional Committee, the Technical Innovation Professional Committee and the Trade Manufacture Professional Committee, should strive to develop innovative, leading and inclusive research in each respective areas, in order to obtain concrete achievements to promote the development of industry.

5. ISU aims to focus on the hot and difficult issues in the development of the silk industry in the world, to integrate resources, cooperate with each other to form synergy, and try to solve problems.

6. ISU should strive to establish communication channels and good mutual trust with the every aspects of the silk producing countries and strive for the government's attention and policy support to the silk industry.
