In order to learn more about International Silk Union(ISU) member units, and strengthen the contact between ISU secretariat and member units, on 3 May, 2018, Li Jilin, chairman of ISU, Bian Xinger, vice general secretary of ISU, Ma Jing, editor of World Silk Website, went on the third trip, visiting ISU member unit---Jiaxing Idea Silk Co., Ltd.(Idea), Giulio Mieli, general manager of Idea, Gu Qingqing, vice general manager of Idea, warmly received ISU visiting group.
Both Mieli and Li are good friends for many years, this time, they recalled their years of experience in the silk industry, with common cognitive and emotional. After a small introduction to Idea basic situation, Mieli communicated the development changes of Chinese silk price and quality, export standards, etc., and discussed the status of the European silk market represented by France and Italy with ISU visiting group.
Chairman Li Jilin said that Idea is a company with industry influence and respected by the industry. Although he is almost 80 years old, he still has ideas and energy, he is constantly increasing his investment, carrying out technological transformation and expanding production scale. He is a real silk man. Chairman Li Jilin briefed Mr. Mieli on the main work of ISU in 2018 and hoped that Mr. Mieli will share his views on the development of the silk industry through rich experience in silk life, promoting the international exchange of the silk industry .
General manager Mieli and vice general manager Gu Qingqing accompanied ISU visiting group to visit the production workshop. There is clean and tidy, and the equipment layout is in order. Manager Gu introduced the Idea main products, production equipment and production processes. The company mainly produces twisted silk, current production capacity is about 300 tons, 95 percent for export, mainly to Europe. The equipment of degumming, drying, doubling, throwing and reeling and other key process was from Italy, advanced and automated, improving the quality and efficiency, and the sensor of throwing equipment was from Japan with a good control to quality. There are still some spare parts of production equipment in the corner of the workshop, according to Gu’s introduction, Mr. Mieli is used to continuously optimize the equipment according to production requirements.
