The Second Meeting of ISU History Culture Professi

On Nov. 6, 2018, the second meeting of ISU History Culture Professional Committee was held in Buyeo, South Korea. Mr. Zhao Feng, vice chairman of ISU, director of ISU History Culture Professional Committee and curator of China National Silk Museum, Mr. Claudio Zanie, professor of University of Padova, Ms. Shen Hui, vice curator of Suzhou Silk Museum, Ms. Wang Le, professor of College of Fashion and Design of Donghua University, Ms. Zhong Bingzhang, curator of Chengdu Shu Embroidery Museum and some members of the relevant units at home and abroad attended the meeting.

During the meeting, director Zhao, firstly introduced the work the committee had done in the past year. Then, all the participates exchanged an explored the committee work and the future direction. Lastly, the meeting reached the following objectives.

At this time, ISU History Culture Professional Committee continued to develop another 4 new members from China, Switzerland and Greece. They are Ms. Wang Le, professor of College of Fashion and Design of Donghua University, Ms. Zhong Bingzhang, curator of Chengdu Shu Embroidery Museum, Mr. Robert Urscheler, president of Foundation of the local museum and the chronicle of the community of Horgen, and Ms. Sophia Z. Staikou, president of PIOP. During the meeting, all the participates unanimously reached consensus to continue to strengthen cooperation.

At last, the meeting initially identified cooperation matters in 2019. In Apr. 2019, the Inheritance and Innovation of Traditional Brocade Techniques will be held in Suzhou Silk Museum in China. During May to June, 2019, the Chinese Silk Exhibition support by China National Silk Museum and PIOP will be held in Athens and Soufli and other places. In Sep. 2019, the 4^th IASSRT and the 3^rd meeting of ISU History Culture Professional Committee will be held in Russia, and etc.

The convening of this meeting shows that the professional committee is a dynamic and sustainable academic committee, and will play an active role in the future “Belt and Road” cooperation in the area of history and culture.
