The First Meeting of ISU Technical Innovation Prof

In order to promote communication and cooperation of process technology among the ISU member, drive the technological progress and common development of the international silk industry. Italian time Nov. 13, 2018, during the 2018 ISU Chairman Enlarged Meeting, the first meeting of ISU Technical Innovation Professional Committee was held in Como, Italy, the members of professional committee and representatives who were interested in silk technical innovation attended the meeting, Mr. Giuseppe Bianchi, the director of this profession committee, presided over the meeting.

Director Bianchi announced the list of members, up to now, the committee have 16 experts and scholars from Italy, China, France, Switzerland, Brazil, India and Myanmar.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Li Jinlin, chairman of ISU, expressed his warm congratulations on the convening of the meeting and expressed his gratitude to director Bianchi for his concern and support for the work of the committee. Chairman Li said that he hopes to further strengthen the construction of the special committee, gradually increase the new members of each country, actively carry out the textile industry technology innovation exchange activities, and promote cooperation and win-win development and interactive development among the international silk industry.

 

 

The meeting held a panel discussion on the raw silk electronic testing grading standards, and the participating experts expressed their opinions on the process and applications of raw silk electronic testing. Ms. Zhou Ying, secretary-general of Silk Standardization Committee had a report on the classification standard on the electronic test for raw silk, she introduced the promotion and application of the international standard ISO15625:2014, Silk-Electronic Test Method for Defects and Evenness of Raw Silk. Ms. Bian Xinger, vice secretary-general of ISU and minister of Operation Management Division, Zhejiang Cathaya Group, based on her more than 30 years of work experience, shared experiences on the quality control of Chinese raw silk.

 

 

 

After the meeting, the experts and representatives visited the Como Silk Museum. This is the world's only equipment exhibition hall for silk crafts. Founded in 1990, it has everything from early dyeing to later printing equipment. Including reeling, threading, fiber woven, weaving, printing and dyeing and art design and costume display in the 1920s and 1930s.
