Distinguished friends form China and overseas silk industry,
Good morning.
Today, I am well-honored to take part in the preparatory meeting for the International Silk Enterprises Promoting Development Union. We all know, silk industry has a long history and there is always an unfading need for silk. Meanwhile, the Chinese silk enterprises long have the desire to join together with oversea silk industry and to have much closer communication. To establish the International Silk Enterprises Promoting Development Union will surly lay a solid foundation and create a bigger stage for the industry information exchange, trading and investment among countries and the globalization of our enterprises.
Guangdong Silk and Textile Group Co., LTD was set up over 60 years ago. From then on, we always focus on the production and trading of cocoon, silk, textile and garments. We always devote ourselves in becoming the front runner in China's trade services as well as the successor of silk culture. Guangdong Silk and Textile Group co., LTD gradually grow up from a single foreign trade company into a large scale modern enterprises group. Now it is a main-business-prominent and much competitive group enterprise combining the development of trade, industry and agriculture. In Guangdong province, we urge to promote and perfect the statistic shift of cocoon silk production base and to set up an integrative platform of closer connection between trade, industry and agriculture of cocoon silk; within our country, we seize and fully use the opportunity of Pan-Pearl River Delta regional cooperation to push our inner industrial integration. By restructuring, we set up Guangxi, Hunan Silk Group, Hainan Silk Group, and construct a regional trade-industry-agriculture-integrative platform which covers the four provinces and regions of South China. In oversea countries, upon the base of our cooperation with over 180 countries and regions and 16 oversea offices, we set up the oversea production bases and our service networks. We optimize the allocation of resources globally and persist in being the organizer and manager of the supply chain. Thus, our competitiveness and fame are gradually improving. In the year of 2014, we succeeded sale revenue as 42.8 billion RMB and total import and export volume as 6.5 billion US dollars, made our part of contribution for the whole silk industry.
On the Boao Forum held this year, Chairman Xi made a deep discussion on the “One Road and One Belt” strategy. So, being one of silk enterprises in Guangdong, we have the regional advantages in constructing the Maritime Silk Road of the 21st century. Now, taking this chance of establishing the ISU, we would like to make much more communication and cooperation with any other silk enterprises at home and abroad in order to uplift our market competitiveness as well as our cultural influence. Besides, we will endeavor to create a sound development of the silk industry and to smoothen the way of constructing the Maritime Silk Road of the 21st century.
The establishment of the International Silk Enterprises Promoting Development Union will undoubtedly provide us with a much wider development platform. So, as one of the promoters, we are very willing to do our best to complete each work to build a bridge between silk enterprises as well as industry associations at home and abroad to co-share the new opportunities of development.
