International Silk Boutique Exhibition-- Silk Road Splendid was opened in NSM

On June 19, 2020, during the “2020 Silk Road Week”, the International Silk Boutique Exhibition-- Silk Road Splendid, organized by International Silk Union and China National Silk Museum, was opened in the International Silk Art Exhibition Hall on the B1 floor of the Fashion Gallery, China National Silk Museum. The exhibition co-organized by Hangzhou Jingluntang Cultural Creative Co., Ltd., supported by Zhejiang Cathaya International Co., Ltd., High Fashion International Limited, Lao Sericulture Company, Kei Meas Handicrafts, Zhejiang Canyuan Home Textile Co., Ltd., Journal of Silk, and Hangzhou Oriental Silk Culture and Brand Research Center.

Cai Xiaochun, vice secretary-general of People's Government of Zhejiang Province, Zhang Guoqiang, chairman of ISU, chairman of the board of Zhejiang Cathaya International Co., Ltd., Chen Wenxing, academician of China Engineering Academy, vice chairman of ISU, president of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, He Wenming, deputy director of Commercial Bureau of Nanchong, and other government leaders and industry experts visited the exhibition, Li Qizheng, secretary-general of ISU, accompanied and introduced the exhibition.

As one of the home exhibitions of "2020 Silk Road Week", this International Silk Boutique Exhibition invited 6 companies (brands) from Laos, Cambodia and China, including Mulberries, Kei Meas, Cathaya, Jingluntang, High Fashion and Canyuan. At the exhibition, more than 50 exhibits with brand and geographical representation were exhibited, aiming to promote communication in the field of silk culture in various countries and regions of the world. Through the display of silk road brand boutiques, the broad and profound silk culture is reflected. The exhibition lasts for 3 months.

The exhibition is trying to enrich the public's understanding of silk through the application in different regions and product fields, demonstrate the diversity of sericulture and broaden the use of silk.

Chinese exhibits cover silk scarves, handbags, fabrics, apparel, household products, etc. Both the reuse of traditional elements and the innovative development of new elements show the ancient and modern inheritance and integration of Chinese silk culture.

The Cambodian exhibits are dominated by silk handmade scarves and branded apparel, and show the unique culture of Cambodian silk through traditional hand-weaving techniques, natural dyeing and unique fabric patterns.

The Laos exhibits are mainly silk handmade scarves, silk protein soap and mulberry leaf tea. They demonstrate the sustainable development of the sericulture industry through natural dyeing, non-waste treatment and comprehensive utilization of the process.
